    Steering MK4

My MK4 Turbo is leaking steering fluid.
It drains pretty quickly - can drive about 15km on one fill.
I am not 100% sure where the leak is yet.
Should I just assume its the rack and replace it?
What should I look for first?

Look for signs of the leak... it could be a hose, the pump or the rack itself.

If you're leaking that much that fast, you should be able to see the source of the leak really easily.
Light travels faster than sound, so people may appear to be bright until you hear them speak...

Okay will do - Maybe its a hose and I got lucky - who knows.
I will have a look this evening. Question, instead of buying an expensive bottle of chf 11 from the dealer, is there anything from craapytire I can use for now to move my car a few kms today? I am debating lucas steering rack stop leak. I have read mixed advise.

    Any ideas?
