    2005 Audi A4 - Electrical help

So my brother's Audi A4 has been sitting while he was away at school, now he's back and wants to use the car.

it's an 2005 Audi A4 with 110,000km with a whole wack of electrical problems

    1. Gus gauge doesn't work - it's been broken for a while, we just uses the km's to know when to fill (not a big deal)
    - This was happening well before he left
    2. window switch doesn't work (on all doors)
    3. climate control will randomly shut off and will not power back up until you turn the car off then turn it back on
    4. Wipers choose when they want to work - it's a gamble every time you try to turn it on
    5. Something is draining the battery - if the car sits for more than a day it's dead (it has a brand new battery installed)

Any idea's what could be causing my issues?

has anyone run into these problems and do you offer any solutions (apart from putting a match in the gas tank)

    Help!

With that many issues, it's going to take some manual diagnosing for sure.

For 1-4, it's probably a bad ground or short somewhere in each circuit. He'll have to check continuity along all parts of the circuit to see if there's a break anywhere. For the window switch, if none work it might just be a fuse, but I doubt he's that lucky.

The battery drain is likely going to be caused by one (or more) of the other issues.
