    need tire size help

Hey guys i need some help on tires sizes. I have a 2003 jetta gli and i have 18 inch rims and i think they are only 7 wide. What would the best tire size be? I have 225/40/18 on now but i think the sidewall is a bit to big. Im getting coilovers and want to go real low. I originally thought 215/35 would be good but after seeing some pics they look ridiculously small for the car.

I wouldn't run 215/35/18 as it is way to small for your car. 215/40/18 is a better suited size as it will still have a smaller sidewall then the 225/40/18 and not throw off your speed way off.

This tire calculator is what I use to figure out my tire sizes.

215/40/18 is a safe bet. 35 if you want super euro look and you won't drive it anywhere near Toronto lol

do not do 35 series , it looks like shit and you will be stuck with tires no one wants.

it will actually make your car have more wheel gap.

    perfect example, looks ass

I'd go 225/40 myself, 215/40 if you have rubbing issues going super low.

When i had the 225/40 tires on the sidewalls looked a bit to tall and i want to go super low with the coilovers. And yes i would like to be able to drive around toronto lol. Seems like the 215/40 is the best bet. Thanks guys!
