    tdi diesel life

    Hello, im new to this forum, i am in search of a used tdi, been looking for about a month and just wondering how many miles can be put on these engines before i should be concerned with not buying?

    That is a loaded question. With these cars, the engines are usually the last to capitulate.

    It ALL comes down to how much you are willing to spend and how picky you are about year/make/options

    Ok that makes since, is 150-200k miles a lot for a jetta tdi? Didnt know how well they hold, i basically am looking for a gas saver because i drive a f-150 right now

    Depends on which TDI model/year/engine you are looking at. If its a well maintained MkIV TDI 150k is nothing.

    either its not uncommon to find early mk4 tdis with 600,000kms these days. mostly one owner cars that have been well maintained

    Yes, but there is a difference between owning a car that has 600 000km and it was yours from the start, and its another thing to buy a 600 000km car.

    I think 150k-200k km is great to buy, but 150k-200k miles is a little high for buying (considering that it converts to 241k -322k km)
