    Audi A3 CEL

So I get a CEL on my A3 two weeks ago, I noticed that the Temp Gauge was stuck at 0 so I went out and purchased a replacement Coolant Temp sensor. The CEL disappears and everything seems great. A week goes by and the CEL comes back on and the temp gauge stops moving again. Possible that I got a bad coolant temp sensor ?

    Any other ideas ?

Also check the connector for any corrosion or gunk.

Shouldn't be... even if the thermostat is stuck wide open it'll get some heat in the coolant.

I don't have a VAG COM unfortunately. I posted in another thread, that I wanted to get the CEL checked and offered some beer in return of a code read.

Let me know if you can hook me up with a vag com read out ?

Was the replacement sensor an original Audi part?
