I did not go with them since it did not do anything. The Neuspeeds worked best. The drop with the Neuspeed is exactly like the pics you posted and like the links you posted in PM

The drive gear did not do anything but less than .5 of an inch drop.

Im not dis respecting anyone. But, I know what I saw. It could also have been a mistake by Eibach who makes the Drive Gear springs. Here's the final product with the Neuspeed:

correct. The Neuspeed are pre loved. And, thats a 100% really a good possibility that the drive gear springs need to settle a bit more. But, I honestly don't think it will go no lower than .5 of an inch.

On a GTi the claims are 10mm lower than stock but the GTi also sits a little bit lower than a TDi. I compared ride height with Phil the other night at the Gendub meet.

Plus other pics on the vtex threads, the tires had a taller sidewall on some of the TDi's I dunno *shrugs* Im just saying it did not do the job for me.
Honestly, Im thinking of putting the stock ones back cz I liked the ride quality better. I might just roll stock from now on but on huffs. Its a preference thing at this point. GL

Yes the car was still on the hoist. But the hoist was the type that allowed you to drop the car as if it were on ground level. Almost like a hoist on a hoist type of setup. Where you drove up, and another set of lifters are positioned in place (grab pts), Then lifts the car. I'll get a pic of it to show in a bit. Kind of busy atm.

oh i see, ya you gotta at least drive off the hoist. suspension tips inward when you lift a car, without driving a little it wont even level out. not even to talk about the difference between previously enjoyed and brand new

the dg springs are linear(like stock) vs all other after market ones that are progressive.

people are saying its the same ride as stock just lower and less body roll.

Alfredo stopped by my office today after his appointment at Jason's and said he owes you a huge apology Liam.

Car settled on the DG springs after a drive and looks hot.

Course of action as I understood:

    - Bought Neuspeed used
    - Learned that DG springs don't void warranty
    - Ordered DG
    - Went to have DG installed
    - Didn't like drop so had them lift car back up and install Neuspeed springs
    - Liked drop, hated ride quality
    - Booked with Jason, took out Neuspeed, installed DG
    - Still not much drop when car came off hoist
    - Went for a spin around the block and the springs settled dropping the car to its intended height

@Liam, I will NEVER EVER EVER doubt your research. The only flaw that no one in the other forums ever disclosed was to expect a ridiculous amount of rake after the car leaves the hoist and sits on the ground. Jason was saying in disgust that the rake looked like crap, and that it isn't proper. We both were panicked, me more so after dealing with the dealership on the Neuspeeds. So after I pulled outta the bay and drove forward for test drive, the car felt so frikin good! Like stock, Like newer than new! How can this rake be so bad?(i asked myself) So after a spirited drive around FA and back to FA. Jason and Dj said that as soon as I launched, the car evened out. Its like the springs aligned itself in position. I guess thats how it behaves. Eitherway the DG springs work beautifully with the Stock TDI, and 2.5L MK6 Golf strut/shocks.

Some of the GTI guys on the MK6 Forum were complaining of Binding, since the spring is designed soley for the TDI and 2.5L.

@Will, prior to today, after I drove off with the Neuspeeds installed. Along the 401 back to Brampton felt like I was riding an 88' CIVIC on Cut Coils. I was so pissed at myself for going that route. So the following day I had them removed and put back to stock. I then said to the parts guy to hold the DG springs till I come back after doing a wedding gig. I did that and picked up the DG springs, had them put in by Jason today at FA.

Then on the way home popped by to see RAZ since its been awhile.

Eitherway...I owe Liam a Coors I'll post pics when I can.

after a learned experience, one needs to drive off hoist and on road for a spirited boot around the block.

Gotcha! Lots of times the rear doesn't settle until you drive, especially if the e-brake was on when you lifted the rear up.
