i'd just leave it in 1st i've learned my lesson with excess speeds on open roads, and the cop let me off EASY.
Well, excuse me, for having ENORMOUS flaws, that i don't work on !

rev's to 12k rpm and top speed is unknown as the speedo stops at 310km/hr......bike does not
mid 9's out of a 600. impressive. Always liked the first gen r6's. 12k rpm is nice, but i took out an '11 today at work, 16,200rpm is nicer
    sweet bike though

2001 R1 not R6 and that pass was with my 250lb ass on board, someone half my size could knock a lot of time off that, again.
the first thing i did was peel off the "R1" stickers, but in these pics you can still see them on the tail

Picked up this old girl today. Yes it's hideous but, for $150 i couldn't go wrong. 1983 750 Honda Interceptor for those too young to know.
I had one of these back in the day and really missed it, soooo...
Smoked the cops with a fried clutch in '84 (definately not smart, but i suppose we've all done stupid shit in our youth. ...I did anyway) Should have died 5x over but managed to survive.

More of a cafe' look if i'm using the term correctly? I guess you could pull that off by changing the gauge cluster and handle bars (and round light of course.) These bikes are pretty tall, but if you could lower all that stuff.... would be a cool look for sure.

Thanks Harry. Yup. you wouldn't really care if you dropped it or dinged it up.
I smile everytime i walk past it so that's worth $150 right there. Needs engine work so it may be sitting a while.

HA there must be something in the air this year. I just picked up a 98 ducati m750 for $250 came with a free computer and a garmin zumo. Got it running and it would idle but when i gave it some gas it would die, so it's in pieces atm and getting cleaned. Gonna check out some Honda CB-1's this week.

Always wanted a harley, had a guy that wanted to trade a 1977 harley davidson XLH 1000cc for my 1995 cabriolet. But had to go to chicago last minute and when i got back he was gone
