    flashing E-Brake and abs light!!

2001 golf TDI, the E- brake light keeps flashing. the abs light is on solid as well. This happened after a CV shaft had broke off on the drivers side. What could be the issue here??

E brake light keeps flashing is probably a wire inside your car attached to the e brake handle, its probably shorting out to ground, hence it coming on and off.
As for the ABS did you connect the sensor? was there a rub through with one of the wires?

ABS lights have also been known to come on if you've been driving through a pile of snow/ice. Park in a warm garage and let it melt/dry.

one bad wheel speed sensor will trigger a solid ABS light
a rubbed thru wire that shorts the ABS signal will trigger an ABS & Traction control light
a "major malfunction" with the abs system will trigger flashing E-brake & ABS light
(usually two or more sensors, bad wiring, or bad ABS computer)
