sucks for the people living across the street
I thought they might be military housing, but there are pools in backyards, etc

Damn..I see B52s, B1s, F18s, F14s....lotsa stuff....I hope this get recycled rather than sit around...unless its like THE SOURCE for the U.S Air Force![]()
I'm sure the have plenty of bases everywhere. Pretty cool though![]()
once an aircraft part is "time ex'd"or has reached the end of its safe usable life, no matter if its still working it has to be scrapped, all those planes are only woth their weight in scrap...nothing else...but because of terrorists and the nature of those being war planes the military will hold on to those until they corrode back into dust rather then have them fall into "enemy" hands even if they are completely obsolete. sorry if i sound like a know-it-all but i had to learn all this shit when i took my aircraft maintenance course, right before my automotive maintenance course in college![]()
Well, excuse me, for having ENORMOUS flaws, that i don't work on !
www.berlinklassik.ca be there !
^^ Some of them look "vacuum sealed" - I bet you could take a few of those and just fly them again no problems...
I was reading the aerospace forum on Vortex. Apparently they just buried a TON of F-117 Nighthawks since the F-22 Raptor pretty much rendered them useless.

If only Canada would have 1/10th of what's parked in that lot we'd have a better air force.
I remember about 10 years ago when we had a dozen or so F-18's (in total across Canada) and we crashed more than half of them in "training".
It's sorta embarrassing how much we rely on the USA for air support.
They had a C5 galaxy at the Trenton air show many years ago. They opened the nose and tail sections and let everyone walk through it. Huge inside.
Yeah man, I remember walking through it at the London Air Show when I was a kid.
im sure some of these will return to service.
alot of them are "furloughed" or just out of service temporarily, either for heavy maintenance, or because of a lack of need, while others such as the f 14, are retired, and will sit and rot.

I'll have a more thorough look at home. My shitty backwater computer and internets at work don't enjoy Google Maps company.
NIce to see the Harrymon posted something worthwhile once in a while.......instead of R20 stuff that we are never gonna get...
I wonder how many trillions of dollars are sitting there.
Nah man Helicopters are where its at. Sure a jet is more fun but helicopters require 3948394x more skill to fly and even more to fly in combat.
nah man.
afterburners ftw
