I think you should get a custom or dyno tune on the car after you are done everything.....I believe that is the only way to fine tune all the fueling and boost issues that comes from adding a turbo kit to a NA car!...

    awesome!

Thats def one of 2 kits I would go with

    Yours is the 12v right?

How much power you looking to put out?

    How much boost?

    Depending...you might need a SRI

I already got my spare ECU programed @ C2 motorsports, they seem to be the best at VRT's.

Edit: just under 350hp @ wheels with no meow. maybe lil less with hiflow cat (shit i need one of those) suggestions?

Yeah 12v adn prolly 10-12psi any more and the plastic intake will pop

    lol @JustJettin..no but seriously.

If I could one thing over with my setup, I would buy a stand alone.

Nick's (Prowler911's) looks OEM (Installed at Foriegn Automotive), but it's freaking so customizable. The tune is better then anything you can buy from a company because it's customized to your car. He'll never run rich or lean unless he wants to, and it will always boost the same, never spike, ..etc

@Zuber Speed - Resistance of Modding is futile.

I'm sure the C2 tune will be really good though.

But when you do blow the motor (and you will lol! j/k) .. then go stand alone

im sure with the 12v he can easily make 350whp on a c2 tune. c2 and unitronics tunes are pretty solid for the VR

looking forward to seeing this done!

And Footose...i never said im not modding the 24v .

awesome man. From what I remember, 9 psi is a safe daily drive mode for a 12v.
If you're looking to crush some cars then you can flip the switch to 12ish. never higher than that.

You're going with an electronic boost controller right?

orrrrrrrrr, if you're smart you won't lol.
Just leave it at 9, that way you're not tempted to fuck around at 11 or 12 all the time. Kind of a bitch to pop the hood and adjust something when you're doing 80

I personally wouldnt run more then 10psi with the stock intake mani

Daily, id run 8psi and at max ever go to 10, because if it goes to ~12+ then that intake mani is a ticking time bomb

Stock internals right? Just a headspacer?

Im not too familiar with the 12v setups, but people in the 24v forum are running ~400whp with similar setups, but with SRIs

yeh, people make them. Just have to see if anybody has used them on a setup like yours.
Doubt it'd matter much, but it's always nice to know that it's reliable.

edit- Luke, I've seen 12v's run reliably one 12 psi before. Just not all the time.
There aren't any major compression differences between the mk3 and mk4 12v's right?

Whatever you do, you'll wanna do an electronic controller anyway, because you don't want to use a Ball-Spring type in a nice setup like that. The electronic one will use a Solenoid.

^^ yup, I almost bought Sammi's Apex'i AVC-R, but it was butchered and looked like crap.

Nice unit, ive read. you might beable to pick one up on ebay.

Also, AEM EBOOST is pretty good. (not as much function as APEX'i)

    Greddy Profec B?

just checked, the boost is the same. Not sure what stacking the head does to the numbers though, or if the gaskets are different.
I've really only looked at mk3 numbers, so Luke is probably on the right track.

Yes, the AVC-R is big and looks kinda dumb. you can hide it in the glove box.

The AEM TRUBOOST is a gauge and you can set boost on the fly.

Nice thing about AVC-R is that you can see your injector duty or pulse (forget which one).

Not sure if you need to know that.

    IF I were you.

    AEM UEGO (wideband 02)
AEM TRUBOOST (gauge/controller - single solenoid) and its cheapest
