Official Waterfest 2007 Cruise Thread ( Updated July 9th )

Well... here we are again. It has come time once again for the annual GenerationDUB Cruise to Waterfest in New Jersey. For those who have been before you know this is an event not to be missed. For those who have never been you dont want to miss out again.

    Waterfest
is held over 2 days ( July 21-22 ) with the Official GenDUB cruise takeing place the day before on Friday July 20th. The official Launch will once again take place at JRP in Mississauga and will follow a route designed in house by our very own ZIPNVW ( Nelson ) who has gotten us down safely for the past few years. Food and fuel stops have been worked into the route so there should be no worry of finding gas along the way. Maps of the route will be handed out to drivers at the meeting point the morning of the cruise.

NOTE: To beat traffic and ensure we arrive at our destination in a timely manner we will be LEAVING at 6:30AM SHARP!!!!!!! We understand that there are people coming from a distance but to accomodate the full cruise plans we must leave at this time.

GenerationDUB has once again teamed up with Performance Auto and Sound Magazine
for this event. The guys at PASMAG through their numerous contacts have made arrangements for some great giveaways and promotions for those who attend.

Meguiar’s has just confirmed sending out over 70 Detail kits and 6 massive 24-cases of additional product for give-a-ways - That means, EVERYBODY will get something.

APR has said they will give away a few free “software installs” and at least 2 Diverter Valves….

ARC Audio has provided us with gift certificates for the following, FOOSE DESIGNS FD4150 Amplifier
    FOOSE DESIGNS FD6000 Speakers

Arrangements have been made for a group rate at a great Hotel very close to he event (in fact its the official host hotel for the racetrack). Hotel info can be found here -> Hotel Info How many nights you choose to book for is at your discretion. You may choose to return home on Sunday evening or to stay until Monday.

GenerationDUB and Performance Auto and Sound would like to invite everyone to join us this year, and wish everyone a SAFE and enjoyable trip. With that said, Law Breakers and trouble makers are not welcome and will not be tolerated. This is a long trip with alot of cars whos owners have put alot of time and love into, people who wish to act like idiots driving should find another group to drive with. Please also remember that you are crossing an international border and are subject to any questioning/search that goes along with it.

Be sure to come see us at the Official GenerationDUB booth with Technine Tunning in the Vendor area, as well as over at the Performance Auto and Sound booth were there will be some GenDUB cars on display and meet the guys.

If its anything like previous years, all of the stops had diesel

Also, if people decide to head back sunday, i strongly dont recommend it. I left at 3pm last year and the 8 hour + drive really hit me after the border. From being outside all day, etc, i was INCREDIBLY tired. If you do choose to leave sunday, make sure you have a good co-pilot and/or driving with some other cars

driving down will take longer as we make more stops food/fuel/duty free etc... and we stop across the border to re-group and meet others. We also take a great rolling scenic route down. Comeing back people usually go in smaller groups (faster) and take a direct route.

    REMINDER:

We LEAVE the meet place at 6:30AM SHARP we will NOT wait for anyone...

Please be there by 6AM so that we can hand out maps and give instruction to everyone. You must also be there by that time to enter into the raffle for the prizes.

Also, as mentioned by a trucker member of ours, if you hav a mapbook that covers the states best to bring it just in case.

I'll be at the gas station on the 401 (petro) around 5:15 AM, and leaving from there at 5:20 SHARP, takes about 45 minutes to get to JRP from there.
