Hiya my names Charli and I have a 1983 1.8 gti mk.1 golf.
I am having a few issues with it and i was wondering if anyone can help me please.
So at first the car was having issues when started after a short period of time. If i left her over night she would start at the first turn of the key but if left for 15 minutes or more you had to switch the ignition on and off 'priming' the engine as such and then try turning her over. This would take about 10 minutes and then she would run fine.
I figured this was down to a tear in the diaphragm of the fuel pump so yesterday i fitted a facet electronic fuel pump but now she wont start at all.
I have pressure on all the hoses but no fuel at the injectors.

I would be really grateful if anybody could shed light on the situation as its killing me not being able to drive her.
